Plymouth Rock Studios to Sign Union Commitment; first LEED-certified studio to be built in 2010

WHAT: Announcing the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at the
Massachusetts Building Trades Council Annual Convention, which
commits Plymouth Rock Studios to be union built and constructed.

WHY: Plymouth Rock Studios is a $500-million film and television studio
complex in Plymouth, Massachusetts, slated to open in 2010 as the
world's first LEED(R)-certified, environmentally friendly studio
complex. Principles of Plymouth Rock Studios will join local labor
leaders at the signing ceremony. It is anticipated that the
project will employ up to 1,500-2,000 construction workers at its
peak and up to 2,000 employees during full operation. The
Massachusetts Building Trades Council is comprised of 74 member
locals representing over 75,000 working men and women across the
state.
